Rakhmad Dewanto graduated from Faculty of Economics University Indonesia. He worked for TOTAL E&P Indonesie, subsidiary of TOTAL S.A for 15 years. He held several positions in Commercial Business Development Division including Head of Gas Revenue Controller, Head of Market Research, and Head Export & Domestic Gas Sales Department. In 2018, he joined Pertamina Hulu Mahakam as Commercial Business Development & Strategic Planning Manager, prior to his appointment as Vice President Commercial in PT Pertamina Hulu Indonesia in 2020.
In 2021, he was assigned as Director Operation & Commercial in PT Nusantara Regas and starting September 2022, he was appointed as Director Gas and Fuel in PT PLN Energi Primer Indonesia, a SubHolding PLN in charge of primary energy.
In 2018, he was also selected as Secretary General before being appointed as Vice Chairman of the Indonesian Gas Society (IGS) in 2024. IGS is an association which comprises of 25 companies of upstream, midstream, downstream and buyers of natural gas in Indonesia. IGS is also the charter member of International Gas Union (IGU).
