Takuji Konzo has been working as CEO of Diamond Gas International (“DGI”) since April 2024 and is concurrently Mitsubishi Corporation’s Senior Vice President/Executive Officer since April 2023.
After graduating from the University of Tokyo (Economics) in 1991, he joined Mitsubishi Corporation (“MC”) and started his career in the petroleum products trading business which gave him an opportunity to work as a trading manager for petroleum products in Petro-Diamond Singapore Pte Ltd. From 2002 his business focus shifted to LNG industry and has been having various experiences including secondment to Malaysia LNG Sdn. Bhd. (from 2004 to 2007) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and PT Donggi-Senoro LNG (from 2011 to 2013) in Jakarta, Indonesia. Throughout his career in the oil& gas industry, he has been involved in commercial, project finance, project execution as well as operations readiness in an LNG value chain. After assuming a General Manager of Malaysia Oil & Gas Business Dept. in MC HQ from 2014 to 2018, he worked as Regional COO (Middle East & Central Asia) for MC Energy Business Group in 2018 and worked as MC’s Chief Representative (Country Head) for Indonesia from 2019 to 2024.
His postings include a stint in Singapore (1997-2002, 2024-), Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (2004-2007), Jakarta, Indonesia (2010-2013, 2021-2024) and Abu Dhabi, U.A.E. (2018).
